About Me :: Otto Rascon

My love for photography started in high school. That's when I bought my first camera, an old Olympus OM-10 maual camera that I bought from a near by pawn shop. The camera came with a 50mm lens and a battery, so all I needed was some film. That was about 14 years ago.

I once again picked up the camera while attending the Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago. That is when I began to see the impact that photography had in my life. I especially saw this impact in my student work. I quickly purchased my first digital camera and started using it for my assisgnments. I was able to shoot a whole lot more since I did not have to buy or lug around a pocket full of film. The digital camera allowed me the opportunity to work on composition, framing, and lighting. You have to love digital.

I now shoot all digital, and have been doing so for the last 6 years. I shoot with a Nikon D700 a Nikon D300. I brighten things up with my SB-800 and a pair of SB-600's. This is my set up for all of the weddings that I photograph.

You can check out more of my work on my blog or hit me up on Facebook. Thanks!
